At ACO-Engineering we have a unique knowledge of the manufacture of thermo plates and we have one of the best equipped production units for this exact purpose. 

The manufacture of thermo plates can today be categorised as our principal core competence. The plates are manufactured in all corrosion resistant qualities that can be cold-worked and are weldable – e.g. stainless steel, SAF 2205 and SMO. 

ACO-Engineering produces thermo plates for other manufacturing companies that use our thermo plates in different process equipment, e.g. for installation in heat exchangers, tanks and other process plants. The plates are either delivered by the piece or built into finished units according to the customer’s specifications. A large part of the production is also used for ACO-Engineering’s own heat exchangers.

What is a thermo plate?

A thermo plate consists of two plates that are spotwelded together. Then, the plates are sealed with a weld along the contours of the plates. The plate is then expanded until the desired channel heigh is achieved. The channel height is the maximum space between the two plates.
